Prices reflect the craftsmanship that goes into making these pieces. The nephrite jade that our plugs are carved from originates in the Lake Bikal region of Russia. The nephrite jade used for our hanging shapes is of the highest (gem) quality and comes from British Colombia, Canada. Both of these locations are considered reputable places where it is commonly acknowledged that nephrite jade is found. This is a hand carved material, so there will be slight variances in color and design. In filling your order, we will select the pair(s) that we feel are the most beautiful, rather than a replica of the image you see on our website. Hanging stone shapes should be worn with o-rings to hold them in place. These designs weigh more and smooth over one’s skin more easily than our other materials. Don’t drop your jewelry out of your ear by mistake—wear o-rings! However, there is a slight percentage of the population out there who is allergic to o-rings. Pay attention to your skin. Please don’t sleep in your jewelry, as it is extremely delicate and may break. Think of it an intricately carved piece of art masquerading as jewelry. Would you sleep in a Picasso? We didn’t think so. None of our jewelry is intended to be worn through a mucous membrane. Nor is it intended to be ingested. We design our jewelry for healed piercings only and not for the process of stretching.
